Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated individual to join our team as a Dining Support Professional. This role plays a pivotal frontline carer role with a particular focus on nutrition and dining, supporting residents to live a life of fulfilment through the delivery of person-centred care and support according to needs and preferences of each resident in everyday practice.

Your responsibilities will be to provide care and support aligned with residents' preferred daily routines with a strong focus on meal choices and individual nutrition, consideration of allergies and food intolerances, enhancing the overall dining experience, assisting residents with meal selection and meal timing preferences, preparing and setting up dining areas to meet individual needs and preferences, actively engaging with residents to provide social and emotional support during mealtimes, using empathy and kindness to foster a positive dining experience, promoting resident choice and control to uphold dignity and respect, preparing and maintaining dining experience areas and providing meal service to meet individual resident choices, and maintaining accurate nutrition and diet information as required.

  • Demonstrated customer service skills
  • A compassionate and caring attitude
  • Previous restaurant and/or commercial kitchen experience (highly regarded)
  • Willingness to take direction from others
  • Reliability and shift flexibility
  • Good time management skills and the ability to work well under pressure
