Job Summary

Key Responsibilities
  • Security Vigilance: Maintain a high level of security awareness and vigilance to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive areas or materials.
  • Access Control: Control access of uncleared personnel to prevent unauthorized access to sensitive areas or materials.
  • Emergency Response: Educate and enforce relevant evacuation, lockdown, and security procedures during emergencies.
  • Incident Reporting: Accurately document security incidents, infractions, and self-reports.
  • Physical Demands: Perform duties in various weather conditions and environments, involving physical activities such as standing, sitting, walking, and climbing stairs.
Requirements
  • Minimum Essential: Completion of Year 12, ability to drive a manual transmission vehicle, 1 year of work experience, ability to work independently and within a team, strong adherence to safety procedures, and excellent communication skills.
  • Desirable: Previous security experience, experience with handheld radio communications, and additional licenses such as Working at Heights or Elevated Work Platform.
Work Environment

The Security Monitor role requires working in varied weather conditions, physical activities including walking, sitting, handling equipment, climbing, and occasional standing, vision and hearing abilities required for the role, and work environment includes exposure to mechanical parts, heights, outdoor conditions, and loud noise levels.

Citizenship Requirements

Applicants must meet specific citizenship criteria, including being Australian citizens, to obtain a security clearance as part of their employment at Amentum.
