Security Monitor Position

Amentum is a leading provider of security services, and we are seeking a highly skilled Security Monitor to join our team in Alice Springs, Australia. As a Security Monitor, you will play a critical role in ensuring the safety and security of our site and its personnel.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Access Control: Maintain control of assigned un-cleared personnel and visitors to the site, ensuring they adhere to site security and safety protocols.
  • Site Security: Prevent unauthorized access to sensitive areas and materials, and ensure all personnel and visitors are aware of and follow relevant security procedures.
  • Communication: Operate a hand-held radio system to effectively communicate with key stakeholders and maintain situational awareness.
  • Asset Protection: Actively prevent the removal or theft of items belonging to the facility, and maintain a high level of vigilance to prevent security breaches.
  • Emergency Response: Be prepared to respond to emergencies and assist in evacuation procedures as needed.

Requirements

  • Must be an Australian citizen with a Secret clearance or an NV1 clearance.
  • Ability to follow and comply with policy and procedures.
  • Demonstrated capacity to be flexible and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Commitment to complete tasks and follow through.
  • Ability to work professionally and independently with minimal supervision.
  • Maintain a high level of security consciousness and image.
  • Ability to complete White Card Training (Construction Induction).
  • Understanding and commitment to the principles of security and safety.
