About the Role

The successful applicant will join our dynamic Product Prototyping & Evaluation Team at our Port Kembla Manufacturing facility. As a Laboratory Systems Technologist, you will be responsible for maintaining laboratory information systems to an optimum level by providing digital solutions and striving for continuous improvement.

This is an exciting opportunity to challenge current practices and influence how we manage our information systems now, and into the future. You will work directly on laboratory information systems servicing our Product Prototyping and Evaluation team and ensure their efficiency and accuracy.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Driving digital improvements of laboratories and their information systems using experience, knowledge, skills, and critical thinking.
  • Identifying, developing, and implementing leading edge digital solutions for priority laboratory functions/tasks across the Product Prototyping and Evaluation team.
  • Delivering functional, efficient, and well-maintained laboratory information systems to the broader Product Prototyping and Evaluation teams.

You will also be required to support critical business processes and facilitate optimised business operations. The ideal candidate will have a passion for computer technologies and systems and bring experience in manufacturing laboratory processes and production information systems. Strong problem-solving skills, organisation skills, and a flexible communication style are essential for this role.
