We are seeking a skilled Bookkeeper to join our team in a part-time role that combines bookkeeping with people engagement and streamlines processes.

This permanent position is 0.4 FTE, requiring the successful candidate to work 2 days a week.

About The Role

As a key member of our small team, the part-time Bookkeeper will play a crucial role in financial management, administration, and operations.

This hands-on role covers AP/AR, reconciliations, payments, and reporting, while liaising with staff, members, and leadership.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage accounts receivable and payable, including processing payments, invoices, refunds, and debtor follow-up.
  • Reconcile bank accounts and company credit cards, resolving variances and ensuring accuracy.
  • Prepare and run debtor and financial reports for managers and the external accountant.
  • Liaise with members, staff, and leadership regarding payments, expenses, and authorisations.
  • Provide general finance and administrative support, including handling enquiries and job code setup.

  • Proven accounting experience with strong attention to detail, confidentiality, and initiative.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to build strong relationships with leadership, staff, members, and stakeholders.
  • Tech-savvy, with experience in Xero, Microsoft Excel, and CRM systems.
  • Highly organised and accurate, able to manage administrative tasks, data entry, and multiple priorities independently.
  • Proactive, process-driven, and solution-oriented, with a focus on continuous improvement.
  • Positive, approachable, and collaborative team player.
