This is a 12-month strategic role focused on growing the urban transport portfolio globally, with an emphasis on metro, light rail, stations, and aviation projects in Australia and Southeast Asia.
A globally respected design firm specialising in architecture, landscape architecture, interior design, and urban design seeks an experienced professional to join their multi-disciplinary team.
Responsibilities- Identify opportunities for major urban transport bids.
- Build relationships with contractors, engineering firms, and collaborators.
- Position the company as a trusted design partner in consortiums delivering transformative transport infrastructure.
- Market Insight & Research – Identify opportunities across Australia and SE Asia, track industry trends, and map competitive positioning.
- Pursuit Leadership – Lead and support major pursuit efforts, including Go/No-Go decisions, bid strategy, and proposal contributions for consortium bids.
- Client & Partner Engagement – Build and maintain relationships to strengthen the company's role on large-scale transport projects.
- Go-to-Market Strategy – Develop strategies aligned with urban transport sector growth priorities.
- Brand & Profile – Represent the company at industry events and bid partner forums.
- CRM & Intelligence – Ensure accurate use of CRM systems for relationship management and pipeline tracking.
- Collaboration – Work with senior leaders on engagement strategies and pursuit planning.
- Commercial Acumen – Support benchmarking, fee reviews, and commercial strategies for bids.
- Capability Building – Coach internal teams on bid positioning and relationship management.
- Performance Tracking – Provide regular reports on pipeline development and outcomes.
- 7–10+ years' experience in business development within infrastructure, transport, architecture, design, or construction.
- Proven success in securing roles on major consortium bids for metro, rail, or aviation projects.
- Strong networks with contractors, engineering firms, and collaborators.
- Deep knowledge of the infrastructure bidding environment in Australia and potentially SEA.
- Expertise in client and partner engagement, negotiation, and pursuit strategy.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Adobe Suite, and CRM systems.
- Strong commercial and bid management acumen.
- Strategic & Proactive – Anticipates bid cycles and consortium structures to position the company early.
