Overview

Mazda Automotive Mechanic (Light Vehicle) Apprenticeship 2026 – Mount Gravatt Mazda is a local family owned business focused on delivering excellent customer service and value for customers of Mazda ownership. This apprenticeship opportunity is a four year commitment. This intake is for 2025 to gain experience prior to formal training, which will begin in early 2026.

Responsibilities

Working closely with the Service Department team, it is essential that you:

  • are reliable and conscientious
  • be willing to learn and take direction
  • work well as part of a team
  • can work autonomously on tasks
  • hold a current manual driver's licence (Provisional or Open)
  • have completed Year 12
  • have an interest in servicing and repairing vehicles
  • are willing to participate in a roster including Saturday Mornings.
Qualifications and Skills
  • As our ideal candidate you will possess the following skills and attributes:
  • strong attention to detail and the ability to work under pressure
  • some experience in a service and/or customer relations role
  • excellent organisational and time management skills
  • intermediate IT skills
  • pre-vocational experience (advantageous but not mandatory)
Apprenticeship Training and Opportunities
  • Recognised qualification AUR30620 Certificate III in Light Vehicle Mechanical Technology
  • Your apprenticeship will be conducted and accredited by TAFE QLD
  • You will learn all the latest technology available in the Mazda product range
  • We support and provide you the required skills to become a Master Technician once you complete your apprenticeship if you wish to pursue this course.
