Key Job Responsibilities

The General Manager is responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the nursing agency, providing direct operational leadership and ensuring efficient service delivery and workforce management.

This role requires a hands-on leader with a clinical background and 8–10 years of industry experience who thrives in fast-paced environments and is passionate about delivering high-quality healthcare services through strong operational execution.

  • Operational Leadership: Provide strategic direction and operational leadership across all aspects of the nursing agency.
  • Clinical and Administrative Operations: Lead and manage daily clinical and administrative operations, ensuring compliance with healthcare regulations and accreditation standards.
  • Staffing and Workforce Planning: Manage and optimise staffing, workforce planning and talent acquisition to meet client needs.
  • Client Relationships: Develop and maintain relationships with healthcare providers, hospitals, aged care facilities and key stakeholders.
  • Business Growth: Drive business growth through client engagement, service expansion and operational efficiencies.
  • Quality Assurance: Ensure high standards of patient care, staff performance and customer satisfaction.
  • Financial Management: Monitor financial performance, budgeting and cost management to achieve sustainability and profitability.
  • Team Leadership: Lead, mentor and develop a high-performing team, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability and continuous improvement.
Essential Qualifications

A successful General Manager will have:

  • A clinical background in healthcare or a related field.
  • At least 8–10 years of industry experience in operational leadership and management.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Passion for delivering high-quality healthcare services.
