Fleet Controller

Optimising operational efficiency through effective resource allocation and equipment utilisation is a key responsibility of the Fleet Controller role.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate workload allocation to maximise asset usage and efficiency.
  • Prepare, complete, and maintain daily fleet control and allocation to ensure pick-ups align with customer requirements.
  • Provide feedback to customers as required on status updates for pick-ups and deliveries.
  • Ensure vehicles allocated to handle dangerous goods comply with Australian regulations.
  • Verify drivers possess necessary licenses for handling bulk dangerous goods.
  • Contribute to the development of operational procedures and documentation in line with freight management standards.
  • Maintain adherence to established business practices and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
  • A proactive and continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Excel).
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and achieve results through people leadership.
  • Empathy and ability to view situations from the customer's perspective.
  • Lateral thinking with a hands-on approach.
  • Sound ability to work under pressure and autonomously without direct supervision.
