Job Title: Engagement Specialist

This is a pivotal role within the NSW Decarbonisation initiative, responsible for devising and executing engagement strategies to promote the mission and outcomes of the Hub.

About the Role

The successful candidate will be required to work on campus 3 days a week, with additional travel likely required 1-2 times monthly. The position reports to the Chief Operating Officer and works in close collaboration with senior management and stakeholders to drive engagement for the Hub.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement communication plans to raise awareness of programs and outcomes of the Hub, incorporating internal and digital communications, media outreach, social media management, and stakeholder engagement.
  • Lead the creation of social media content based on research outcomes, industry partnerships, and research profiles to achieve desired objectives.
  • Prepare and distribute external communications content that effectively showcases the Hub and its networks via the monthly Newsletter.
  • Develop media releases, key messages, and briefing notes as required.
  • Support the delivery and promotion of all events, funds, and campaigns of the Hub, meeting defined objectives and ensuring maximum visibility for the Hub and its networks.
  • Contribute to the strategic vision and implementation of strategies to align with funding agreements, partners, and ecosystems.
  • Establish and develop relationships with Industry, Government, Partner Institutions, and Community to expand the reach and engagement of the Decarbonisation Hub.
  • Assist in researching, writing, preparing, and laying out the Hub Annual Report.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders, including government, industry, and academic partners.
