Operational Readiness Specialist

Cross River Rail is a pioneering infrastructure project in Brisbane, revolutionising travel with 10.2km of new rail line and twin tunnels under the Brisbane River and CBD.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Coordinate operational readiness outcomes by managing internal and external stakeholders to integrate Cross River Rail into the public transport network.
  • Collaborate with Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) and technical advisors across disciplines to develop operational readiness responses, plans, and strategies.
  • Work closely with Technical Assurance, Testing & Commissioning, and Integrated Schedule teams to ensure effective coordination of operational readiness activities.
  • Deliver operational readiness outcomes on schedule by coordinating with QR and contractors.
  • Participate in governance, risk, and other project meetings.
  • Facilitate workshops, meetings, and working groups with key stakeholders to consider agreed operational requirements and outcomes during design and delivery.
About You:
  • Demonstrated experience in operational readiness activities within infrastructure project delivery of transport networks and systems.
  • Sound knowledge and experience in rail network operations with analysis and solutions to operational readiness or similar issues.
  • Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship management capabilities for effective engagement with stakeholders.
  • Ability to adapt to changing priorities and synthesise diverse information into clear communications and reporting.
  • Proven ability to identify risks, issues, and opportunities, and develop mitigation strategies.
  • Tertiary qualifications in Project Management, Engineering, or related fields are highly regarded.
