
Mental Health Policy Specialist

This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with Mental Health Act 2016 documentation and Chief Psychiatrist Policies.
The successful candidate will provide authoritative information services to staff, members of the public, and other key agencies. Key responsibilities include:
- Reviewing and monitoring Mental Health Act 2016 documentation to ensure legislative requirements are met.
- Providing support and guidance on legislation, Office of the Chief Psychiatrist policies, and procedures to staff, consumers, nominated support persons, and families.
To be successful in this role, you will require a relevant qualification and evidence of vaccination against certain diseases. A declaration of serious discipline history must be disclosed, and criminal history screening will be required for new employees.

This is a permanent full-time or part-time opportunity (38 hours per fortnight) offering a base salary ranging from $105,568 - $114,861 per annum, or $53.24 - $57.92 per hour.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, be able to work independently, and demonstrate a strong understanding of Mental Health Act 2016 documentation and Chief Psychiatrist Policies.
