Senior Educator Role Overview

As a Senior Educator, you will play a key role in providing high-quality early childhood education and care to young children. You will lead a team of educators and be responsible for implementing the educational program in your centre.

The ideal candidate will have a Diploma in Early Childhood Education and current Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification. You will also have strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.

  • Lead a classroom effectively, engaging with educators, families and children to implement the educational program.
  • Maintain a safe environment for children, families and team members.
Responsibilities
  1. Implement the educational program in accordance with Goodstart's Practice Guide.
  2. Collaborate with the Education Leader to deliver high-quality education and practice.
  3. Comply with National Quality Standards (NQS) and Goodstart Policies, Procedures and Requirements.
  4. Contribute to delivering the centre and business plans.
Qualifications / What We're Looking For
  • Diploma in Early Childhood Education.
  • Current Working with Children Check and First Aid qualification.
  • Strong knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards.
  • Ability to lead a classroom effectively, engaging with educators, families and children to implement the educational program.
  • Build and maintain strong, positive relationships with children and families.
  • Support a culture of reflective practice and continuous improvement.
  • Seek and share best practice examples to improve the education program.
