This role involves servicing, repairing, and maintaining information technology systems in both stand-alone and client-server environments.

Main Responsibilities
  • Diagnostics & Repair - Hardware diagnostics, repair and maintenance of desktops, laptops, servers, and peripherals
  • Troubleshooting - Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair hardware and software faults through diagnostic tools and manual testing
  • System Imaging & Installation - Install and configure operating systems (Windows, macOS, Linux)
  • Software Updates - Resolve software errors and application conflicts, perform routine system updates, patch management, and driver installations
  • Data Sanitization - Perform secure data wiping and sanitization of storage devices in compliance with organizational and regulatory standards
  • Preventive Maintenance - Clean and maintain internal hardware components to ensure optimal function
  • Inventory & Asset Management - Track inventory levels and update asset records
  • Documentation & Reporting - Log technical issues, repairs performed, and resolutions
  • Customer Support - Provide clear, timely updates to users and IT support staff


Requirements
  • Education - University degree/diploma or 2 years equivalent work experience
  • Experience - Sufficient experience as a IT/helpdesk Technician
  • Skills - Strong knowledge of data sanitisation, and computer hardware, including Servers, PC Desktops, Laptops, Printers, etc
  • Problem-Solving Abilities - Proven analytical and problem-solving abilities
  • Professional Image - Professional image, attitude and method of operation
