Job Summary

The Shire of Gingin is seeking a skilled Finance Officer to join its Corporate Services team. This role supports the delivery of accurate and timely financial outcomes that underpin the organization's strategic and operational objectives.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist with statutory and management reporting, budget preparation and monitoring, financial reconciliations, and ensure compliance with accounting standards and organizational policies.
  • Contribute to improving financial systems and processes while providing support and guidance to colleagues.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  1. Australian citizenship, permanent residency, or legal working rights.
  2. A relevant qualification in finance or a related field.
  3. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  4. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  5. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
What We Offer
  • An annual cash salary up to $81,286.81 plus superannuation up to 15%.
  • A 9-day fortnight is possible and 19-day month is possible (full-time).
  • 22 days annual leave.
