Apprentice Nursery Assistant Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic individual to join our team as an Apprentice Nursery Assistant. This role offers the opportunity to gain hands-on experience in childcare while working towards an industry-recognised qualification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support children in their daily activities, including setting up play areas and engaging them in creative play.
  • Assist with meal times and ensure children's safety and well-being at all times.
  • Participate in planning and implementing activities and games to promote children's learning and development.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues to maintain a safe and nurturing environment for children.
Qualification and Training:

This apprenticeship will provide you with the opportunity to gain a Level 2 Early Years Practitioner qualification, which is a valuable asset in the childcare industry.

Requirements:
  • GCSE or equivalent English and Maths grade 4/C or above.
  • UK Residency (must have lived in the UK for 3 years+).
What to Expect:

As an Apprentice Nursery Assistant, you can expect to work full-time, with regular 1-2-1 sessions with your dedicated tutor and 6 hours a week of apprenticeship study time. You will also have regular progress reviews with your tutor and manager to ensure you are on track to meet your goals.
