About the Role

We are seeking a dedicated SEN Teaching Assistant to join our team in Leicestershire. As a Teaching Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with special educational needs in their academic, social, and emotional development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide 1:1 or small group support to students with SEN, working closely with teachers to develop personalized learning plans.
  • Support students in their daily routines, including breaks and meals, to ensure a smooth and inclusive learning environment.
  • Collaborate with the teaching team to identify and implement strategies to meet the diverse needs of students.
  • Enhance the learning experience by preparing materials, resources, and activities that cater to different learning styles.
Requirements
  • Prior experience in a similar role is desirable, but not essential. We welcome applications from individuals with transferable skills, such as Behaviour Mentor, Youth Worker, Pastoral Assistant, Social Work, or Nursery Practitioner.
  • Experience of working with children is essential, with a strong focus on supporting students with SEN.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with students, teachers, and parents.
  • Patience, empathy, and the ability to connect with students at Primary School age.
