Job Summary

The Hills Shire Council is seeking a highly skilled Strategic Land Use Planner to join our team. As a key member of our Forward Planning team, you will play a critical role in balancing the needs of our community with rapid jobs and population growth associated with Government directions and the transformation of the Sydney Metro Northwest corridor.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, including rezoning proposals, development control plans, and planning agreements. You will be responsible for preparing and implementing precinct plans to guide future development, identifying infrastructure items and funding sources to support development, and representing Council at planning panels.

Key Responsibilities

* Process, assess, and report on rezoning proposals, development control plans, and planning agreements
* Prepare and implement precinct plans to guide future development
* Identify infrastructure items and funding sources to support development
* Represent Council at planning panels

Requirements

* Minimum 3 years' experience in a similar strategic planning role
* Tertiary qualifications in Town Planning or a related field
* Drivers Licence (Class C) – NSW
