About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced planning professional to join our Planning Team in a permanent full-time role. As a key member of our team, you will play a critical role in developing and implementing strategic land use strategies that support our growing community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement strategic land use strategies based on Council and State policies, community values, and predicted future needs.
  • Prepare, review, and amend planning instruments, codes, and other policies in accordance with the Environmental Planning and Assessment Act and the Local Government Act.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of strategic land use policy to support our growing community.

Requirements
  • Tertiary qualifications in Urban and Regional Planning or a related discipline.
  • Eligibility for Corporate Membership of the Planning Institute of Australia.
  • Experience in strategic and integrated land use planning.
  • Experience in policy and instrument development and implementation within a local authority environment.
