About This Opportunity

We are seeking an accomplished Senior Project Engineer to lead major parts of Inland Rail projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in Civil/Structural engineering and strong TfNSW and contractor management skills.

Job Description

The Senior Project Engineer will be responsible for providing engineering support for civil construction processes, ensuring design deliverables meet construction requirements, and maintaining positive relationships with client representatives.

You will develop work packages in support of project construction activities, collaborate with the construction team to execute projects on time and budget, and ensure all construction adheres to quality and safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide engineering support for civil construction processes.
  • Ensure design deliverables are clearly defined for construction and project success.
  • Maintain positive relationships with client representatives.
  • Develop work packages in support of project construction activities.
  • Support the construction team in executing projects on time and budget.
  • Ensure all construction adheres to quality and safety standards.
  • Influence safety culture by promoting safe work practices.
  • Perform technical, engineering, inspection, scheduling, planning, survey, procurement, and quality control functions at site.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in Civil or Structural engineering.
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in Engineering.
  • Demonstrated experience in delivering projects.
  • Strong communication skills for complex issue management.
  • Desirable experience in managing WAD agreements.
