Support Worker

This role offers a unique opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of children and young people experiencing truancy issues.
The successful applicant will work collaboratively with various stakeholders, including preschool and school staff, parents, and other community members, to develop and implement evidence-based interventions that address the needs of learners.
A key aspect of this position is the ability to work effectively with culturally diverse populations, prioritizing Aboriginal ways of knowing, doing, and being.
The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of child development, learning, and behaviour principles, along with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
They will also have experience working with vulnerable populations and knowledge of relevant policies and procedures.
Essential Requirements- A degree or equivalent qualification giving eligibility for full membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers.
The successful applicant will be required to hold a Department for Human Services Working with Children Check and complete specific training courses.
Flexible working arrangements can be discussed for this part-time position.
