Additional shifts from 25th April to 9th April 2025
Monday and Wednesday 9:00am to 11:30am
Tuesday and Thursday 9:00am to 12:00pm

At EdenCare Support Services, we are dedicated to improving the health and well-being of individuals with disabilities. We’re currently looking for compassionate, reliable, and energetic Support Workers to provide specialized care for clients dealing with clinical depression, dementia, arthritis, and a frontal lobe variant of Alzheimer’s disease.

**Purpose of Role**: To provide high-quality support services that help our clients build routines, improve life skills, and engage with their community. The role focuses on assisting clients with diverse needs, helping them thrive in daily life activities through personal care and routine support.

**Main Duties and Responsibilities**:

- The required support activities include:

- 1. Assisting with changing an incontinence pad.
- 2. Medication reminders.
- 3. Assistance in the pool.
- 4. Outings to places like Bunnings, cafes, and walks.
- 5. Helping with his routine, including brushing his teeth, washing his hair, and preparing breakfast.

**Availability Required**:

- Additional availability is favorable

**Pay Rates (SCHADS Award)**:

- Monday to Friday (6am - 8pm): $31.96
- Monday to Friday Afternoon shift (8pm - 12am): $34.75
- Monday to Friday Night shift (12am - 6am): $35.39
- Saturday (all day): $44.23
- Sunday (all day): $56.86

**Qualifications**:

- Qualification in Individual Support/Disability Support
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Employee Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Current First Aid and CPR Certificates (or willingness to obtain)
- National Police Check (or willingness to obtain)
- Driver’s license and reliable vehicle (required)
- Eligibility to work in Australia

**Preferred Qualifications**:

- Certificate III/IV in Disability or Mental Health
- Experience with clinical depression, dementia, and personal care

**Skills & Competencies**:

- Excellent communication skills and ability to adjust to different audiences
- Strong teamwork and organizational skills
- Attention to detail and ability to complete administrative duties efficiently
- Patience and empathy in dealing with complex behaviors

**Personal Attributes**:

- Passion for assisting individuals with disabilities
- Ability to remain professional under pressure
- Positive attitude towards feedback and change

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $31.96 per hour

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (required)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
