Job Title: Supporting Student Success

The Learning Support team is responsible for providing tailored support to students with identified needs, ensuring their learning and wellbeing are prioritized.

The successful applicant must demonstrate a calm, caring, and respectful manner, upholding the school's core values at all times.

Key duties may be expanded in accordance with the ES Level 1, Range 2 General Duties, as needed.

Attendance during school holidays is not required for this role.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the implementation of a student-centered program for Tier 2 and Tier 3 DE funding criteria students.
  • Collaborate with classroom teachers to develop and implement educational plans.
  • Provide targeted support to students on an individual or small group basis, focusing on literacy development using DIBELS.
  • Assist with instructional programs and support teacher communication with students.
  • Observe students and bring concerns to the teacher's attention as necessary.
  • Document observations, learning, and wellbeing notes.
  • Provide basic care and support to students as required.
  • Participate in program evaluation and monitoring, tracking individual student achievements.
  • Facilitate communication between parents, teachers, and other staff members.
  • Prepare educational resources and materials as needed.
  • Perform administrative tasks and attend meetings as required.

Proficiency in Compass, Google Suite, MS Office, iPads, etc. will be beneficial in performing duties efficiently.

Active collaboration with the Inclusion Team and school staff is essential.

Annual performance reviews will be conducted.
