About this Opportunity
We are seeking a qualified Lecturer in Nursing to join our academic team. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and delivering high-quality education programs across Master's or undergraduate nursing courses.
- This is a full-time position available at CQUniversity Cairns, Townsville, Mackay or Rockhampton campuses.
- As a Lecturer in Nursing, you will play a vital role in shaping the future of healthcare by educating and inspiring the next generation of nursing professionals.
You will contribute to curriculum development, engage in scholarly research, and foster strong industry partnerships to enhance the student experience and program growth in both face-to-face and online modes.
In addition to your teaching responsibilities, you will have the opportunity to supervise honours and postgraduate students, collaborate with colleagues across disciplines, and participate in research aligned with the university's strategic priorities.
The successful candidate will also have the opportunity to engage with local health services, schools, and networks to strengthen community connections and expand the reach of our nursing program.

- Possession of an undergraduate nursing degree as well as a Master's qualification with a minimum three-year recent post-registration clinical experience.
- Registration as a Nurse (Division 1) in Australia, evidence of meeting NMBA Recency of Practice registration standards.
- Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or ability to successfully complete within 12 months of commencement.
- Proven ability in the education of nursing students, including the ability to write course materials and teach in clinical and academic fields of nursing.
- Ability and willingness to participate in research and scholarly activities.
- Desirable: Completion of a PhD or enrolment with Confirmation of Candidature (or near CoC).
