Job Overview:

  • A skilled technician with expertise in heavy vehicle maintenance and repair is required to join our team.

As an Automotive Technician, you will be responsible for diagnosing and troubleshooting complex issues with ground support equipment, utilizing technical skills and tradesman experience to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance tasks. You will work closely with fabricators, technicians, and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions, ensuring the highest standards of quality and safety are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Diagnose and troubleshoot complex issues with heavy vehicles, utilizing technical skills and tradesman experience to conduct repairs and preventive maintenance tasks.
  • Report daily to the Shift Supervisor and ultimately be under the management of the State Service Manager.
  • Conduct preventive servicing, data collection, as well as repair and maintenance tasks that reflect a trade standard.
  • Collaborate with fabricators, technicians, and assistants to develop and implement effective solutions.
  • Utilize the wide variety of equipment and the unique nature of aviation equipment as an opportunity for knowledge & skill development.
  • Work with multiple unique GSE specialized equipment.

Requirements:

  • Have your own tools.
  • Exposure to diesel engines, hydraulic systems, and electrical fault finding is highly regarded.
  • Hold a current and valid Driver's License.
  • A strong focus on safety standards and relevant policies & procedures.
  • Experience working within procedural guidelines.
  • Good communication skills and proactiveness.
  • A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player.
