About the Role:

The State of Queensland is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Clinical Audit and Quality Improvement Leader to join our team. As a key member of our organization, you will play a critical role in enhancing patient safety and quality of care.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Deliver specialized guidance and support to business units across the health service on clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives.
  • Ensure adherence to Quality, Safety, and Risk strategic priorities.
  • Provide expert advice and support to business units on clinical audit and quality improvement, including CQHHS Quality, Safety and Risk strategic priorities and The National Safety and Quality Health Service Standards (NSQHSS).
  • Lead, guide, and motivate teams to deliver results and build a broad network of contacts both internally and externally to the CQHHS.
  • Work autonomously within a quality, safety, and risk framework, and undertake preventative and management strategies to minimize or prevent clinical risk.
Requirements:
  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) and a current annual practising certificate.
  • Demonstrated leadership skills in the identification and implementation of advanced clinical evidence-based skills and knowledge that apply to quality, patient safety, and risk initiatives.
  • Excellent interpersonal, oral, and written communication skills.
