Mental Health Research Director
About The RoleThis position is responsible for overseeing research initiatives in mental health, alcohol, and other drugs across the Mid North Coast region.
The incumbent will lead efforts to build research capacity, capability, and culture by identifying funding opportunities and supporting clinician-led projects.
Main Responsibilities:
- Strategic Advice: Provide high-level guidance to the Medical Director and Senior Leadership Team on research strategy and partnerships with external organisations.
- Research Development: Collaborate with stakeholders to develop a research plan promoting collaborations with health, education, and research institutions.
Requirements:
- A strong background in research management, with experience in large-scale service delivery organisations.
- Expertise in conducting high-quality research, securing funding, and publishing outcomes that translate into clinical practice or policy.
- A proven track record of leadership and innovation in health services, with ability to communicate complex research concepts effectively.
