The Role:
This senior position plays a pivotal role in driving the research agenda of our organisation. As Research Development Lead, you will be responsible for cultivating excellence in research and providing strategic guidance to key stakeholders.
About The Position:
This is a high-level advisory role that requires exceptional leadership and communication skills. You will work closely with the Medical Director and Senior Leadership Team to develop and implement research capacity building programs, state-wide and national initiatives related to mental health and alcohol and other drugs research.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive research strategy that promotes partnerships with health, education, and research organisations.
- Provide high-level advice on research development and implementation, including securing funding opportunities.
- Foster collaborative relationships with external organisations to advance research capabilities.
Requirements:
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Extensive experience in research management, preferably in a large and diverse service organisation.
- A proven track record of conducting high-quality research, obtaining research funding, and publications that translate outcomes into clinical practice or policy.
- Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to consult, negotiate, and delegate effectively.

This is a Category A position with competitive remuneration according to NSW Health State Awards. A talent pool may be created for future roles, remaining valid for 18 months.
