About the Role

The purpose of this role is to be accountable and responsible for supporting and managing IT systems within Healius' environment. As an All-Rounder Senior System Administrator, you will work within the Operational Technology Services Team to ensure the smooth operation of Healius' ICT infrastructure.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support and manage server infrastructure, including on-prem, virtualized, and private cloud environments.
  • Procure, install, configure, and maintain ICT assets and associated operating systems.
  • Ensure backup and replication processes are in place and functioning correctly.
  • Perform recovery actions in the event of hardware or system failure.
  • Provide technical support for both hardware and software issues.
  • Implement and coordinate housekeeping procedures, including backups, user account setup, file access monitoring, and log checking.
  • Manage and update internal documentation, including technical manuals and IT policies.
  • Ensure system and security patches are applied to limit cyber vulnerabilities.
  • Perform daily system monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of hardware, server resources, systems, and key processes.
  • Manage the internal infrastructure, including servers, storage, and networking.
  • Perform proactive maintenance and monitoring.
  • Apply operating system patches and upgrades on a monthly basis and upgrade administrative tools and utilities as required.
  • Assist the Systems Manager in designing and executing Healius' digital roadmap.
  • Implement improvements to systems and business processes, utilizing supporting technologies to enhance overall organizational performance.
  • Manage Active Directory and infrastructure services like DHCP, DNS, and DFS on a regular basis to maintain standards according to policies.

Requirements:

  • Experience working with business-critical ICT infrastructure, physical and virtual.
  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft desktop and Server operating systems.
  • Working knowledge of Linux.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of Active Directory, Security Groups, Share permissions, and Group Policy.
  • SQL Server Administration.
  • Solid understanding of TCP/IP, IPSEC, FTP, DNS, DHCP, VLAN, Routing, Subnets, IPWAN, and patching.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
  • Experience with HyperV and VMware.
  • Understanding of data backup concepts and different backup types.
  • Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively with colleagues across all business units.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, both hardware and software.
  • Attention to detail to ensure information is accurately captured and documented.
  • IT security.
  • University IT Studies.
  • 5+ years of experience as a System Administrator.
