Job Opportunity

We are seeking an experienced Safety, Health and Environmental Advisor to support our urban projects in South East Queensland. The successful candidate will have the ability to build and maintain strong business relationships, lead by example, and implement innovative safety systems in a dynamic and challenging environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate and Develop Risk Assessments: Collaborate with project teams to develop and implement risk assessments aligned with project schedules.
  • Develop and Champion SHE Monitoring Programs: Design and implement project-specific SHE monitoring programs, informed by risk assessments and activity-specific requirements.
  • Monitor and Improve SHE Management Plans: Evaluate the effectiveness of safety and health, environment, and training management plans on site and provide recommendations for improvement.
  • Contribute to Project Communication: Inject SHE risk-based content into project communication forums and contribute to the development of project-specific communication materials.
  • Assess Compliance and Facilitate Inductions: Evaluate compliance with site access requirements, facilitate inductions, and provide technical input into investigation reports.
  • Develop and Deliver SHE Information: Create and deliver SHE information, including inductions, in accordance with sustainability system requirements.
  • Contribute to Golding SHE Improvement Programs: Collaborate with the Golding team to develop and implement SHE improvement programs.

Mandatory Capability Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Occupational Health and Safety
  • Minimum 5 Years Project-Based Experience: Proven experience in safety, health, environment, and training systems application, compliance, and coaching within the civil industry.
  • Ability to Understand and Apply Relevant Legislation
  • Clear Understanding of Risk Management Principles
  • Demonstrated Ability to Facilitate and Develop Risk Assessments
  • Experience in SHE Auditing, Incident Reporting, and Investigation
