Amana Living is seeking a passionate and proactive Community Engagement Lead to foster a vibrant, inclusive, and socially connected environment across our retirement living communities. This is a unique opportunity to make a meaningful impact by enhancing the quality of life, well-being, and sense of belonging for older adults.

About the Role

This position will play a strategic and hands-on role in building a thriving community for older adults. You'll lead the design and delivery of innovative engagement programs that promote wellness, inclusion, autonomy, and connection. The ideal candidate will be experienced in community development, program management, aged care, social services or a related field.

Key Responsibilities
  • Resident Engagement Strategy Implementation: Design and implement innovative engagement strategies that reflect the diverse interests, backgrounds, and wellness goals of residents. Facilitate regular resident forums, surveys, and feedback sessions to ensure programs are responsive and inclusive.
  • Community Partnership & Grant Funding: Build and maintain strong partnerships with local schools, businesses, service providers, and community groups. Identify, apply for, and manage grant funding opportunities to support new and expanded engagement initiatives.
  • Volunteer Program Oversight: Recruit, train, and retain volunteers from both the resident population and the broader community. Develop meaningful volunteer roles that contribute to resident life and support the organisation's mission.
Requirements
  • Tertiary qualification or demonstrated experience in community development, human services, aged care, health promotion, events management or a related field.
  • Demonstrated ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders including residents, families, staff, volunteers, and external partners.
  • Strong event and program planning skills, including logistics, budgeting, risk assessment, and evaluation.
