Our organisation seeks an experienced Health and Safety Professional to join our team. As a key member of the management group, you will be responsible for developing and promoting organisational health and safety initiatives.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement best practice safety procedures and systems
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the workplace health and safety risk register and plan
- Monitor and identify injury and workplace health and safety trends and risks occurring in the region
- Collaborate with external organisations and stakeholders to ensure compliance with state and federal legislation and reporting requirements
Skills and Qualifications:
- Highly developed knowledge of occupational health and safety principles and practices
- Proven ability to design, develop and implement effective health and safety programs
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
