Heavy Plant Mechanic Job Opportunity

We are seeking a skilled Heavy Plant Mechanic to join our team on a full-time permanent basis.

This role provides comprehensive on-site support for diverse CAT equipment across various industries, offering challenging opportunities to diagnose faults and implement solutions.

  • Diagnose complex mechanical issues on Caterpillar equipment at customer sites
  • Carry out repairs, maintenance, and servicing of heavy mining and marine machinery
  • Develop and implement effective Product Improvement Plans and Support Programs
  • Ensure a safe work environment by adhering to industry standards
  • Collaborate with customers to achieve machine availability and reliability KPIs

The successful candidate will have a strong understanding of CAT SIS & ET systems, as well as experience with Caterpillar Mining Machinery and Marine equipment. Strong diagnostic and fault-finding skills, combined with the ability to work under pressure in remote environments, are essential for this role.

Requirements:

Australian Heavy Mobile Plant Trade Certificate with post-trade experience is required, along with a valid Driver's License and LR license. HRWL (LF, DG, WP) and Working at Heights certifications are also mandatory. Refrigerant Handling License and experience working in similar roles are highly desirable.
