Leadership Opportunity in Early Childhood Education

We are seeking an exceptional Early Childhood Leader to oversee the operational aspects of a kindergarten. This leadership role includes a teaching allocation.

  • Leading day-to-day operations, mentoring and coaching teams, providing high-quality education and care, ensuring program adherence to agreed philosophy, purpose, values, vision, standards, and code of conduct.
  • Monitoring quality and compliance, adhering to policies and procedures, working collaboratively with families, children, community stakeholders, and networks.
  • Supporting implementation of early years model, participating in Lead Teacher networks and communities of practice.

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Proven ability to work in a cohesive team environment.
  • Comprehensive understanding of child development (3-6 years old).
  • Experience in working in partnership with other services and agencies.
  • Demonstrated personal values aligned with organisational values.
  • Proven skill and experience in working in an early education and care setting.
  • Solid knowledge of Early Childhood legislation, policy, reforms, and frameworks.
  • Experience in providing leadership, management, mentoring, and coaching.
  • Solid knowledge of QIP, compliance, and SRF requirements.
  • Positive mindset, problem-solving skills, good communication, conflict resolution, and innovation.
  • Ideal qualifications include a Bachelor's degree, as recognised by ACECQA, and a minimum of 5 years leadership experience.

Responsibilities Include:

• Leading the day-to-day operations of the kindergartens.

• Mentoring and coaching the teaching teams.

• Providing a high-quality program of education and care based on strengths, dispositions, skills, and interests of the children.

• Ensuring the program adheres to the agreed centre philosophy, purposes, values, and vision.

• Monitoring quality and compliance and adhering to policies and procedures.

• Working collaboratively with families, children, community stakeholders, and networks.

• Supporting the implementation of the Kids First early years model.

• Participating in Kids First Lead Teacher networks and communities of practice.
