Job Title:

Interim HR & Payroll Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled Interim HR & Payroll Manager to support our client's property development company with an in-house construction arm. The successful candidate will have experience in payroll processing and HR functions within Australia.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee HR operations, including WHS, return to work, onboarding, inductions, and policy development.
  • Manage award interpretation and ER matters for employees.
  • Authorise timesheets and input hours into the HRIS (ELMO) while finance processes payroll.

Requirements:

  • Previous experience in payroll processing and HR functions within Australia.
  • A strong understanding of Australian workplace laws and award agreements.
  • Proficiency in payroll and HR software systems.
  • Experience working as HR Business Partner level minimum 2 years.

About the Role:

This is a critical role following a recent departure and offers the opportunity to partner closely with the board and senior leadership team during a period of transition.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR and payroll management, with experience in managing a similar sized organization. They will be able to demonstrate excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.

The successful applicant will have a high level of autonomy and will be expected to work independently, with minimal supervision. They will also be required to maintain accurate records and provide regular reporting to management.
