About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Workshop Manager to lead our client's Engineering Workshop in Maitland, NSW. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the workshop, ensuring quality standards are met, and driving continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Quality Assurance: Ensure that all work is completed to the highest standards, meeting customer expectations and regulatory requirements.
  2. WHS/OHS Management: Develop and implement effective WHS/OHS procedures, conducting regular audits to ensure compliance.
  3. Project Management: Plan, coordinate, and execute projects efficiently, ensuring timely completion and within budget.
  4. Team Development: Foster a culture of continuous learning and development, empowering team members to achieve their full potential.
  5. Customer Engagement: Build strong relationships with customers, providing accurate quotes and delivering exceptional service.
  6. Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for improvement, implementing changes that drive efficiency, productivity, and quality.
Requirements
  1. Trade Qualification: Hold a relevant trade qualification, such as a Cert III in Engineering/Fabrication.
  2. Supervisory Experience: Proven experience in supervising workshop operations, with a strong understanding of WHS/OHS procedures.
  3. Leadership Skills: Demonstrate excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team.
  4. Reliability and Integrity: Show a strong commitment to reliability, planning, and reporting, with a focus on ensuring compliance with internal and legislative commitments.
