In this essential position, you will oversee technical projects, providing exceptional solutions to clients across various sectors including energy production, petrochemical industries, mining, and heavy manufacturing.
In your capacity as a Project Engineer, you will report to the Service Centre Manager, responsible for generating precise estimates and managing technical projects effectively.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee operational functions within the workshop
- Assist the sales team in achieving financial targets
- Advocate for Sulzer's safety culture and protocols
- Foster enduring customer relationships
- Act as a liaison between the workshop and clients
- Supervise workshop activities and results for clients
- Serve as the technical authority for both the workshop and clients
- Deliver comprehensive technical calculations and designs
- Prepare reports on assigned projects
- Ensure adherence to safety and quality assurance standards
- Communicate with customers regarding estimates
- Coordinate with suppliers for technical and commercial inquiries
- Collaborate with the engineering team for reverse engineering tasks
- Manage both in-house and on-site projects
- Utilize internal resources to fulfill company objectives
- Participate in weekly project update meetings
Qualifications:
To thrive as a Project Engineer, you should possess:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
- Accreditation from Engineering Australia
- Experience with steam or gas turbines
- Proficiency in technical report writing
- Skills in cost management, estimation, contracts, and tenders
- Excellent communication abilities
