Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Social Worker to provide specialist response services to patients and clients in the Emergency Department.

This role involves working as an integral part of the multidisciplinary health care team, providing trauma-informed responses to victims of interpersonal trauma and their non-offending family members.

The successful candidate will have demonstrated skills and experience in crisis support and ongoing counselling, with a focus on patient needs.

Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Tertiary qualification as a Social Worker and eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers (AASW).
  • Feminine gender is a genuine occupational requirement.
  • Demonstrated high level communication, negotiation, and advocacy skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize work and manage stressful situations.
