Claims Specialist Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Claims Specialist to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for handling complex claims, ensuring timely and accurate resolution, and communicating developments and outcomes to stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage key claims handling enquiries; coverage determination and quantum analysis for complex claims
  • Ensure effective vendor and litigation management on Complex claims within a personal allocation, including demonstrable savings
  • Deliver technical training to colleagues and external contacts as appropriate
  • Ensure adherence to best practice procedures for Property & Energy Complex claims, consistent with global best practice
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Graduate Diploma of General Insurance (or equivalent)
  • Comprehensive experience in dealing with business pack, commercial property and/or energy claims including business interruption matters
  • Proven ability in the interpretation and application of commercial policy wordings
  • Experience with claim negotiations and strong interpersonal flexibility
