Child Youth Mental Health Practitioner

This role offers an opportunity to work with a multidisciplinary team providing comprehensive assessments and interventions to children, young people and their families. The service provides a supportive environment given the demand and acuity of presentations.
Key Responsibilities- Manage a complex caseload with presentations from 0–17 years old from diverse psycho-social backgrounds.
- Deliver evidence-based treatment modalities including client-centred psychotherapies and family-focused therapies such as Attachment Based Family Therapy, CBT and DBT.
- Navigate extensive networking with services including the education department and local schools, the GP and other private, government and non-government services.
People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background are encouraged to apply.
Required Skills and QualificationsThe successful applicant will possess relevant tertiary qualifications in Clinical Psychology, Social Work, Occupational Therapy, or Nursing and registration with AHPRA or membership with AASW for Social Workers.
- Clinical Psychologists must have a postgraduate Masters or higher in Clinical Psychology.
- Social Workers must have experience as a Level 2 clinician.
- Occupational Therapists must have experience as a Level 2 clinician.
- Clinical Nurse Specialist Grade 2 must have relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience in the clinical area of their post-graduate qualification or equivalent experience.
This role offers opportunities for skill building, attendance at training and provision of high-level supervision within a supportive working environment.
