Mechanical Project Engineer Role

Do you have experience in leading mechanical design teams? We are looking for an experienced Mechanical Project Engineer to join our team.

This role involves managing the mechanical design and delivery aspects of large and complex integrated systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in mechanical engineering, excellent project management skills, and the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams.

About the Role
  • Lead the mechanical design team on assigned projects, including coordinating and allocating tasks
  • Attending sales and project review meetings
  • Develop system designs and layouts
  • Manage design schedule, budget and work orders
  • Liaise with Project Managers, architects, builders, consultants and purchasing team
  • Check and approve drawings, calculations and technical documentation
  • Develop mechanical installation work packages and inspection and test plans
  • Provide technical support and advice to other areas of the business and junior employees
  • Assist with system commissioning and testing
