Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Contract Specialist to join our team.

This role is critical in ensuring the effective management of project costs, contracts, and procurement documents.

  • Review and understand administration requirements of head contracts, including key dates, variation processes, delay costs, and handover requirements.
  • Setup and manage relevant notice templates for variations, delay notifications, and extensions of time.
  • Administer all head contract obligations to protect financial interests.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with clients, superintendents, and quantity surveyors.
  • Oversee subcontractor and consultant procurement, including tendering, scope of work preparation, and reviewing subcontractor quotations.
  • Prepare trade recommendations, negotiate and close out subcontractor/consultant agreements.
  • Review and manage subcontractor/consultant payment certifications, variations, delay claims, and performance.
  • Prepare and update various reports, including monthly project cost reports, client reports, risk assessments, and commercial forecasts.
  • Attend and contribute to project meetings, including weekly team, procurement, design, client, and cost reporting meetings.
  • Oversee project handover documentation, including warranties, and manage supplier orders and invoices.

  • 2+ years of experience in contract administration

  • Able to build lasting relationships with clients and stakeholders
  • Problem-solving skills with the ability to adapt to changing situations
  • Tech-savvy with construction management software
