Job Title

A Native Title Project Officer role has become available in our department. This position is responsible for facilitating a connected environment by acting as a conduit between Crown Lands and external stakeholders in the delivery of Native Title projects and program pieces of work.

The successful candidate will be able to coordinate and provide a range of administration and support activities which are culturally appropriate and in line with established project plans and objectives to achieve Government priorities in matters of Native Title and Indigenous Land Use Agreements (ILUAs) and the delivery of Native Title related projects.

">Requirements
  • Experience with interpretation of legislation relevant to Native Title.
  • Sensitivity to and understanding of Aboriginal Culture and an excellent understanding of Aboriginal community governance and structures.
  • Strong collaborative and organisational skills
  • Capable of navigating complex problem-solving with confidence
  • Excellent interpersonal abilities, fostering positive relationships across diverse stakeholders
  • Experience in Native Title matters or negotiation processes - although this is desirable, not essential
