Job Opportunity

Seeking a Strategic Leader to Head Consumer and Fair Trading Division.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure overall management of activities, investigations or projects aligns with compliance policy, plans and directions.
  • Develop and review plans for conduct of investigations and/or projects, including resource allocation and expenditure monitoring.
  • Prepare and/or review internal and external documents, including staff papers, correspondence, reports, minutes and briefs.
  • Develop effective working relationships and professional networks with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Provide advice on trends and patterns, industry and consumer behaviour contributing to development of positions on legislative and policy reform.
Requirements
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Competition and Consumer Act 2010 or ability to acquire this knowledge.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing investigations and/or projects, efficient and effective resource allocation and achievement of standards.
  • Ability to undertake objective analysis and draw accurate conclusions supporting evidence-based decision making.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills communicating complex information to varied audiences.
  • Demonstrated experience leading teams in fast-paced organisations guiding and developing staff.
