Key ResponsibilitiesThe role involves providing person-centered care and support to individuals with disabilities, particularly those with complex medical needs, to enhance their quality of life. Your duties may include:
- Providing personal care such as showering, dressing, grooming, and medication administration;
- Assisting with domestic tasks like light household cleaning, laundry, and meal preparation;
- Supporting social activities, shopping, and transportation needs;
- Availability for sleepovers and shift work, including weekends;
- Assisting clients with the use of aids and equipment, including standing or walking frames, wheelchairs, and other physical aids;
- Monitoring client well-being and reporting progress;
- Participating in staff meetings and attending training sessions as required.
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Australian Federal Police Clearance;
- Current CPR/First Aid Certificate;
- NDIS Workers Screening Check (or willingness to obtain);
- Current Australian Driver's Licence;
- A reliable, registered, and insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance is required);
- A smartphone with internet access.
