Student Transition Specialist

As a Student Transition Specialist, you will play a pivotal role in creating an inclusive and supportive environment for commencing students. Your primary focus will be on designing and implementing peer mentoring and transition programs tailored to meet the diverse needs of our student cohorts.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Developing and delivering culturally sensitive and accessible transition experiences for diverse student groups
  • Collaborating with academic and professional staff to support student orientation and transition
  • Facilitating workshops and small group sessions focused on student success, peer learning, and help-seeking behaviours

Requirements for this role include:

  • A degree with subsequent relevant experience or extensive experience and specialist knowledge
  • Administrative experience working within a large organisation with formal administrative structures and policies
  • Customer service or student administrative experience, preferably in a tertiary educational institution
  • Understanding of the student journey
