About the Role

This is a newly created position within Robert Walters Australia, combining strategic planning with operational execution. The successful candidate will be responsible for the acquisition of goods and services from external providers, tendering, and contract administration. This role offers the chance to develop systems and processes around procurement, with a focus on identifying financial efficiencies.

As a Procurement Officer, your primary objective will be to manage the acquisition of goods and services from external providers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Work with a range of stakeholders to assess goods and services requirements in line with strategic and operational objectives
  • Prepare procurement activity plans, issue tender documentation and coordinate tender processes
  • Evaluate proposals and recommend best fit to partners based on quality, service and price
  • Review & prepare supplier agreements to ensure quality, cost and delivery requirements are met
  • Ensure suppliers deliver agreed quality, service and price
  • Manage supplier relationships; creating positive, excellent quality customer service
  • Maintain contract register and associated supplier documentation
  • Produce procurement reports for review with manager as required
  • Identify and implement Purchasing process improvements
Requirements
  • Demonstrated experience in procurement and contracts administration
  • Previous experience within the Aged Care/NFP/Community Services sector
  • Good understanding of Regulatory Compliance and Rights and Responsibilities Community/Residential Services
  • Experience working in a multi-skilled team environment
  • Outstanding verbal, interpersonal, written communication and negotiation skills
  • Analytical and problem-solving skills
