Senior Mechanical Engineer - Mineral Processing Expert

This role offers an exceptional opportunity for a Senior Mechanical Engineer with experience in mineral processing projects to join our team. As a key member of the engineering department, you will be responsible for designing and delivering projects that meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and efficiency.

  • Design calculations and equipment selection for various applications, including bulk materials handling systems, slurry and hydraulic systems, mechanical platework, etc.
  • Assist with creating, implementing, and maintaining project procedures, work practices, plans, and protocols to improve efficiency.
  • Review vendor documentation and incorporate it into project designs, emphasizing constructability, operability, and maintainability.
  • Ensure compliance with project requirements and current industry codes and standards.
  • Deliver projects within schedule, budget, and quality criteria, with a strong focus on safety.
  • Identify and manage project and technical risks to ensure successful outcomes.

About You

  • Bachelor of Engineering - Mechanical Engineering, or equivalent.
  • Experience with base metals, rare earth minerals, and mineral processing in a design and construct environment.
  • Knowledge of relevant Australian and industry codes and standards.
  • Strong deliverable focus and ability to plan the work.
  • Innovative thinker with ability to work collaboratively and autonomously to meet deadlines.
  • A good attitude, team focus, and willingness to learn.
