Job Title: Support Care Specialist

Job Description

A Support Care Specialist is responsible for providing personal care and support to clients in their daily lives. The role involves assisting with daily activities, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene, and implementing individualised care plans to meet the unique needs of each client.

This position requires a high level of empathy, communication skills, and ability to work independently. As a Support Care Specialist, you will be working closely with clients to understand their needs and preferences, and develop strategies to promote their independence and well-being.

Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed as a Support Care Specialist, you will need:

  • a Diploma or Certificate in Disability Support or related field;
  • experience working with people with disabilities;
  • strong communication and interpersonal skills;
  • ability to work independently and as part of a team;
  • high level of empathy and understanding of the needs of clients.

You will also need to possess a valid First Aid certificate and be willing to undergo training in areas such as CPR and medication administration.
