Securing the Future of Naval Shipbuilding

About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Security Advisor to join our team and contribute to the success of our Strategic Shipbuilding program. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for ensuring the security posture of our organization and its stakeholders.

Your primary focus will be on applying our Defence Security Principles Framework and Information Security Manual to ensure that all organizational security measures are maintained and enhanced.

You will also facilitate annual security awareness training for personnel, monitor and manage the DSAP list, and sponsor personnel security. Additionally, you will develop and maintain personnel security clearances and manage the risk profile of the program.

Key Responsibilities
  • Application of Defence Security Principles Framework and Information Security Manual
  • Facilitating annual security awareness training for personnel
  • Monitoring and managing the DSAP list and sponsorship of personnel security
  • Development and maintenance of personnel security clearances
  • Managing the risk profile of the program and recording all decisions, actions, and incidents
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

- A minimum of 5 years' experience in DoD, ADF, or Defence Industry, operating in more than one functional area

- Demonstrated experience in managing personnel, facilities, information, and cyber security up to and including 'PROTECTED' Level

- Demonstrated experience in managing organisational DSPF obligations, including lifting organisational security measures to maintain and enhance security posture

- Demonstrated experience in enterprise risk management in accordance with ISO31000

- Demonstrated experience in positively influencing stakeholders and cultural change with respect to security

Security Clearance

Please note that due to the security clearance required for this position, applicants must be Australian Citizens with an NV1 security clearance through the Australian Department of Defence.
